SRED provides information on RNA Editing for ovis aries. There are two ways to search the database: — By providing a region of sheep genome — By searching for RNA editing relevant to a gene of interest.

As shown in the figure below, the RNA editing events for the region 191718-194298 on chromosome 1 are displayed in the results. The first three columns show the genomic location information. "Type" indicates the type of RNA editing. "Strand" specifies the strand information. "Gene Name" displays the gene where the RNA editing occurs. "Tissue" shows the tissues in which the editing site was identified. "Region" provides gene annotation details. Users can download the RNA editing sites of interest by clicking the "Download as CSV" button.

You can also search for RNA editing sites by gene name. Enter the name of your gene of interest (e.g., HDAC4) in the "Name" search box to retrieve RNA editing events occurring in that gene.
